Key prefix filtering for agents
Agents can now list and count memories by key prefix, so they can organise memories into namespaces like project.acme.
The dashboard already lets you narrow your memories by key prefix. Now your agents can do the same, so they can keep memories organised into namespaces such as project.acme. and work with one area at a time.
- List one namespace. Ask for keys starting with
project.acme.and get only those, without paging through everything else in the capsule. - Count what's in a namespace. See how many memories a project or topic holds at a glance.
- Works over MCP and the REST API. Agents using MCP can pass a prefix when listing keys or counting memories, and REST integrations can add
?prefix=to the same requests.
Prefix matching is case-sensitive, so Project. and project. are treated as different namespaces.
Do I need to do anything?
No. The prefix is optional: leave it out and listing and counting work exactly as before.
